Luca D’Ambrosio meets photography as a teenager where he starts shooting with traditional film and slides, but it is around the age of twenty, entering the world of publishing and advertising, that he starts shooting professionally, using digital backs and full frame reflex cameras.
At that time fashion, still life and sports photography were his passions then, over the years he encountered interior and aerial photography, shooting at the time aboard helicopters. The arrival of drones then triggers a new wave of passion that drives him to deepen this specialty to the highest level. Licensed to fly in most of the world, Luca is now one of the most highly recognized photographers and video makers in the boating industry.
Editor-in-Chief, tester and journalist Luca D’Ambrosio began sailing at an early age with his father, then as an adult discovered sailing and offshore racing. He has worked in publishing for more than 30 years and sails all the time, especially aboard the editorial staff’s boat, an old lady of the seas that he has completely renovated and which serves as a “mobile laboratory” for The International Yachting Media.
